As we walked through the doors we were handed free tickets to see Nada Surf the next night. The first thing we did was check out the merchandise and bought a shirt. Then we went to snag our spots. I met up with some friends in there(where were they 4 months ago when I saw EC the first time?) I asked one of the staff members if it would be possible if I could stand on the other side of the barrier( I was on crutches) he said that he couldn't let me 'cause they'd be people running through there. Oh well, it was worth a shot. So we stood right up front up against the barrier to the left of the stage. The first band up was 7 Year Bitch they were very good I took a couple picture of them. The crowd really wasn't moving much. In-between bands they had this Chinese guy who was a one man band he did several cover song of various artist it was pretty funny. Next up was Tracy Bonham she was pretty good too the crowd started to get into it as soon as she sang "Mother mother". The one man band played again. Spacehog went on next I thought they were good I took a picture and almost got my camera taken away for it. They wanted the audience to say stuff back to them I don't remember what though I was patiently waiting for EC. The one man band played again. The stage crew started bring in the "swaying palm tree" I think they had the "Pale Green Star" banner for a backdrop. They came out Art was wearing a red Hawaiian like shirt, Craig had a white playboy bunny shirt with black sleeves.(after the show) and Greg had a white shirt on well at least that's what they had on in my pictures. They opened with "Summerland" I wish I could remember the set list.

**these aren't pix from this show, these were taken from my video**

I had a good view of the stage except when this very tall guy got in front of me he kept leaning back I thought he was gonna fall on me. The pit started to turn, people began to crowd surf and I was singing along. Most of the people that were around me help keep the big moshers that were there just to hurt people(that's what it seemed like) I have nothing against moshing I mosh a lot myself, even that night I did. There was no way that would let being on crutches spoil my evening. Craig kept walking over to the side of the stage that we were in front of and at this time I was a little further back then when I started, so I stuck one of my crutches in the air sort of waving it so my friends would see that I was OK and Craig saw me doing this a couple of times and he would kind of smile and nod. My friend turned to me and asked me if I saw that. As for the songs they played I'm pretty sure that they played all of World of Noise and all of Sparkle and Fade except "Queen of the Air" and maybe even "Pale Green Stars"(they played it the other time I saw them though) Songs that aren't on their albums that they played were "American Girl", "Hateful"(Now that I think of it I'm not sure if they played this), the really cool "Sin City", I think they did "Pacific Wonderland", I didn't remember hearing "Annabella's Song" but that doesn't mean that it wasn't played.

** The last song my sister came over to me and told that we could go meet them. At first I didn't hear her so I just nodded and she gave this look and then said it louder. The song was over she said c'mon let's go. I was practically in tears (of joy) but the staff guy said only me and my sister could go. I felt bad to leave them. So we walked outside and waited. Art came out he said Hi, how are you? He complimented me on my shirt(it was royal blue with white stripes on the sleeve and has a girl with red hair on the front it looked very similar to the EC shirt that I bought). We talked to him for a couple minutes I asked him when they would be back he said not for a while because they're gonna make a new CD. I told him I couldn't wait and hoped that we would meet again. And then I asked him if would sign our shirts he said sure asked us our name. I thanked him a thousand times and told that they were really great and he's so nice. He said thank you. My sister asked if she could take our picture but then this lady came over and said she take it so we could both in the picture. Then I asked him if he would sign my leg. He wrote To Amy, Art Alexakis. Again I thanked him. Other fans were calling him over to the fence to sign there stuff so we said bye and I asked if the others would be out soon. He said they should be out any minute. A couple minutes later we saw Craig, I went over to him and he said Hi, you're the girl with the crutch, I said yeah, he said he saw me and asked how I was. I asked if he would sign my leg, he did and he wrote, To Amy, Love Craig Montoya, Get well!. I thanked him and then he signed my sister's shirt. She thanked him, and asked if she could get a picture of him and me. He said sure. We talked to him for like 10 minutes. My sister complimented him on his nails(they were painted green with sparkles over em)he said thanks and told us the story of how they got into painting their nails. He was telling us how his feet hurt from jumping on stage so much, I felt bad for him cause my feet get like that too and it hurts. He got called away for autographs so we said bye and thank you again. And we waited for Greg, he came off the bus and was signing some people's things, I went over to him and waited for him to finish and then I said hi and told him they were really good tonight and asked if he would sign my leg, while he was signing it I mentioned how much I enjoyed reading his "Tour reports" he said really, I didn't think anyone read them anymore that why I hadn't written that much. I told no we love hearing from you. He signed my leg Greg Eklund and drew a smilely face. I thanked him and then he signed my sister's shirt. She thanked him and asked if she could have one of those necklaces like the one he was wearing he said if I give it to you they wouldn't let me back on the bus. She asked if she could get a picture of us and so we did. I thanked him again and we said bye he was walking away and said here want my hat? I said sure, thank you!! We walked back out front and the staff guy said that our friends were waiting out front, I think they were mad that they couldn't go back there. We sat on this brick wall thingy in front of the alley way where the tour buses were. And about 20 minutes later another one of the staff members came over and told us that if we wanted to we could go back there again, so we did. The first person we saw was the lead singer of Spacehog we got his autograph and he took a picture of himself with our camera. I was looking at EC's tour bus and saw Craig coming our way. I tapped my friend's shoulder and said here comes Craig. She was flipping out. He came over and he signed there stuff for them and my sister once again asked if she could take a picture so we got picture of him with each of our friends and when they were posing he looked at me and said Amy right? I just shook my head. We thanked him a thousand more times and he said bye. We put our film in the next day for the 1 hour developing. Went and picked them up they all came out I was so happy.
