The Cabinet of
Dr.Caligari
Directed by : Robert Wiene(1919)
Starring :
Werner Krauss as Dr.Caligari
Conrad Veidt as Cesare
A travelling fair comes to the small town of Holstenwall, bringing with a
sideshow.Among them, is the sinister Dr.Claigari, whose "act" is that of
a somnambulist, Cesare. With the coming of the fair, there also begins a
series of murders, and Dr.Caligari and Cesare immediately come under
suspicion.
One of the most influential movies of all time. The crooked little streets
and buildings of Holstenwall add to what is already a very tense and
creepy movie. One of the earliest movies to be considered "goth" due to
the fact that Cesare moves around at night wearing black and with a
deathly pale face.
