H.P.Lovecraft
Another writer along the same lines as Poe.Hailed by many of todays leading horror writers, including Stephen King, James Herbert, and Clive Barker, as being one of the greatest horror writers of all time. Most famous of his creations are the Cthulu, a race of creatures invented by lovecraft for his stories.
