Interpretation:-

Prelude(The Family Trip):- This is an abstract from Willy Wonka, in the part where the children are taken by Willy Wonka into the tunnel on the river of chocolate and they are bombarded with terrible images of slaughter and decay constantly, similar to the ones shown in the 'dope hat' video. This track makes a great intro and prepares the listener for the things to come.

Cake And Sodomy:- This track starts Manson's crusade against "righteous" America's attitude towards individuals, with one big violent hit in the face. It is a direct condemnation of people who themselves condemn other people, when they should first look at themselves. This applies especially to the habits of porn and abuse, which are popular in America and most of the people involoved in them keep their guilt to themselves and seek martyrs like the Rev. to bring down instead of them. Jesus said: "before you tell your brother about the wooden splinter in his eye look at the enormous beam you have in yours"; Marilyn Manson says: "yeah, right, great, if you're so good, explain the shit stains on your face!"
