In The Mind's Eye > Epilogue

Isaac, Tay, and Zac got out of the taxi and knocked on their own front door.

The door opened and a tearful Diana Hanson stared bleakly at them.

"Mom."

She cried out and reached out to hug them tight, her anxiety vanishing.

---

When will I see you around, Kat?

Oh, anytime. Just call.

Yeah?

Yeah...

---

Katriona sipped her Coke. "So why did Zac connect and not the others?" she asked, eyebrows raised.

"Younger people tend to be more attuned." Lucinda explained.

"Taylor kind of worked as well, but I couldn't get to Isaac. Zac is really clear."

She smiled. "That's because he's a natural. He refuses to accept adult's way of thinking. That doesn't mean he's not maturing, but it's just that he refuses to accept that there's a logical explantion for all of this. Taylor was that way, but he's growing up. Isaac has pretty much made that transition."

Katriona nodded.

Lucinda grinned. "You two going to keep in touch?"

Katriona smiled, feeling the boy's joy at being home. "Yeah. I think so."
