-CHAPTER 2-
I sat back in my rented car, and turned the radio on.
"...and now for an old time favorite... My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion!..."
I gagged and switched the radio off. That song had to be at least 10 years old. It was flogged back then, and just now they finally stopped playing the damn thing. Too bad Celine died, though. She had a gorgeous voice.
I switched lanes and tried to ignore the cars zipping around me. Even after all this time, I couldn't put that night from my head. I shivered and felt that tiny throbbing in my arm and leg.
I leaned over and switched the radio back on to distract me, but My Heart Will Go On was still on.
My eyes stung as I remembered and I pulled my trusty sunnies down again. I switched the radio back off and suffered in silence.
I turned into the parking lot, and got out, remembering to lock the car. I pulled my purse over my shoulder and sighed.
I thought 10 years was enough of a break, but I was wrong. I didn't want to start this again. I took a breath and made my way to the large building: Polygram Recording LTD.
