This section will be a free-for-all of sites, bands, causes, and other things that we dig, and hope you do, too.
- ostinato
- Yet another fantastic band out of Va. Big, beautiful, delay-drenched rock that hugs you like a proud parent.
- more complete
- Out of Virginia, these guys are for real. Their cd is brilliant, and you'd be smart to catch them live.
- DeSoto Records
- Home of the exceptional Burning Airlines, and last bastion of (and say this with a hushed, and solemn reverence) Jawbox
- Jeff Aug
- A very good friend and the area's best guitarist. Hands down. He's touring Germany now, but check his site to see when he returns. If you've never seen Jeff, you're missing one of the most innovative artists in the area.
- Zoothead
- Fellow College Park partners in crime.
- Fort Reno concerts
- Some of the best bands of the area play here. Great shows, outdoors, and FREE. This is what is good about music.
- Atomic Music
- A fantastic music store which has done wonders for the College Park music scene, with a great stock of instruments, amplifiers, effects, and prices to put the goods into a player's hands.
- Li-Young Lee
- A wonderful poet.
- Dickies
- Durable, affordable, comfortable. Who knew that working class clothing was so cool?
- Gustav Klimt
- Art Nouveau is much better than it sounds. Really.
- Cyberella Studios
- Cyberella mastered our tape, and will probably master our CD. A very cool place run by the very cool Doug.
- Sorry About Your Daughter
- They call themselves "DC's dancing smashing genre-defying post-punk math-rock heavy alternative melodic underground quartet." We agree, and add "great guys and personal heroes." You guys are diamonds, and we can't wait to hear you again.
- Velvet
- Passed these guys at Phase Studio, then heard their first CD . We dug it, and were lucky enough to share a gig at Phantasmagoria. Great music by great guys.
- MusicDC
- Keep current on the local music happenings.
- The Poetry Archives
- An excellent archive of over 3000 classical poems. Well worth a visit!
