Well lets start off with an A pentatonic scale...this is one of the most commonly used scales for improvising and its kind of base for your other scales so practise it a lot...

Here's a cool little (interval) 4th pattern, sounds good when you play
it fast. The first two notes (4th interval) go forward, the next two
go backward.
