This all started the summer of 97.
We went into a small studio wanting to put some of our songs on tape.
Mostly just to be cool. This little recording only took us a day.
We recorded five songs in a day. It was fun, but exhausting.
We began to get more serious about our band as we approached our Senior
year of high school. We were writing more songs, that were more complicated.
Our melodies broadened along with our musical talent. Around Christmas
we decided to get serious. In January we began picking studios to
do our recording. Finally we settled on Noteworthy Studios in Carbondale,
IL. We began to record in February, and the whole CD came to an end
at the beginning of May. A lot of work, that has paid off.
We wondered how we ever did those first five songs in ONE DAY. On
June 9th we held our CD Release PArty. We held it at the BUZZ, a
local coffee shop on our Benton square. It was a huge success.
Over a 150 people turned out for the event, and we received publicity with
several local newspapers. The most important succes was that we sold over
200 cd's. This brings us to where we are now. We are working
on making new material. We are always willing to play for events. Our first big gig was at the first Rend Lake Freedom Fest (July 4th, 97). Last Summer (98), we played at Rend Lake's Freedom Fest for the second year in a row. We performed
July 3rd & 4th. We've also played at several establishments around
the Carbondale, IL area.
