Bexter's Experience |
The day after staying up til 3AM after seeing Matchbox 20 in concert, I went to an autograph session that they had here in Birmingham. (Alabama) I waited in line forever. (partially because the boys always show up half an hour late to everything) I met a couple of other girls my age while waiting. One said "The second the car shows up, we should jump 'em!" I said "Okay, I always wanted to be on the news!" She said she would go after Kyle. I analysed the situation and decided that since I am so short, I would have to go after Paul. I figured if I could take any of them, it would probably be him. (We are the same height)
Then the time came, it was my turn. They were all at a table in a little row. They were so cute. I was only supposed to bring one item to get signed so that more people could get autographs, but I couldn't decide between my T-shirt or my ticket stub from the concert. I brought both.
Anyways Paul was first. I said "Hello Paul" and shook his hand. He said "Hi how are ya?" and signed my t-shirt which I had decided on. "Great! Paul, I absolutely LOVE your hair by the way." I replied. (his hair was red, my fav. color) "Thanks, I like it too." said Paul. He was so nice.
Then came Adam. He was wearing one of the concert T-shirts, and he'd written his name on it. He smiled at me. He was really nice too.
Then was Brian. He was so sweet! He signed my t-shirt, and he said "You know, you're pretty cool" "Thanks Brian" I said as i smiled really big!
Then I decided that I really wanted my ticket signed. "Hey Paul, can I get my ticket signed too?" I asked leaning over back towards him. " For you, sure, since you liked my hair." was his response. So even though I wasn't supposed to, I got 2 things autographed.=)
Then was Rob. He spent the whole time talking to some guy that worked for them about what to do when they leave. That ticked me off a bit, but the ink was still wet on my ticket from where Paul signed, and I now have a copy of Rob's thumbprint! The other members were trying to get him to sit down and shut up. He eventually paid attention to them.
Last and certainly not least, was Kyle. He was wearing a shirt that said COWBOY on it, and I will never forget the look he gave me as I walked by. I can't describe it, but it made me smile, yet sorta wonder about him at the same time.
So that is what happened when I met Matchbox 20. I don't really remember all that was said, but I have told you what I do remember. (being in a daze will do that to ya sometimes!) That day rocked, and I made a couple of friends as I was waiting, so I really had a grand ol' time. =)
Hope you like my story!
