Soccer!!!
I like sports...I'm not a sports freak tho....I played softball in high school, did weight training too, but I wasn't one of those kids that went to soccer camp or anything. In fact, the first time I played on an organized team was 9th grade! I won't claim to be an expert on all things soccer. I won't even claim to be a really awesome player. In fact, I was just ok. But it's soooo much fun. You should see the big smile on my face as I remember all the fun I had playing. It was challenging and freeing...
I was a fullback at The Packer Collegiate Institute. It was a great four years (though I didn't play one year due to a knee injury). I was number 35. It's a multiple of 7...my lucky number........
So I know you don't want to know about my soccer life. It's nothing really. I just really get all misty when I think about it. sniff sniff. I'm really happy that there's the MLS, three years running. My team, yah know...The New York/New Jersey Metrostars.
They're not doing so hot. I watched a game between them and the Galaxy...I think they've got to uh...watch the tapes and do some re-organizing or something....
what else??...WOW yeah when I was working out last year at the Athletic Center the U.S. Men's National Team was PRACTICING THERE!!! It was so unreal. In fact, I was waiting for a bike and Tab Ramos was using it. After he got off I got to use it! That was exciting. Alexi Lalas was there too....uh...that was weird.
