Chapter 3

"Mum, I'm going out with Lisa. I'll be back before twelve!", Isaac called out to his mother and before she had the chance to answer back, he grabbed his car keys and ran out of the door, slamming it behind him.

A few minutes later he pulled up in front of Lisa's house and beeped to let her know he was there.

Lisa almost instantly appeared from behind the door, and started to come down towards Isaac's car. She was wearing a short black skirt with silver dust on it and a short red top which revealed her pierced navel where she was wearing a blue diamond banana bar. Her short hair was neatly in place, leaving her front bits hanging down to her cheek bones. She looked really pretty, and Isaac knew that he was very lucky to have her.

"Hey Ike", she said sitting in the seat next to the driver's and kissing her boyfriend. "Decided where you want to go?"

"I thought a movie first, then dinner and then your place?", Isaac grinned sheepishly.

"Sounds good to me, especially that last bit, you cheeky boy!", Lisa said kissing Isaac on his neck and resting her hand on his leg.

"Your parents are out right?", Isaac said feeling her warm breath on his neck and wondering if they should just skip dinner and the movie and go for the third bit of the plan, but he decided not to say anything.

"That's right... they are out, and not going to be back for two days", Lisa said and kissing Isaac on the cheek one final time, rested back on her seat and waited for Isaac to start the engine.

"Any movies you particularly want to see?", Isaac asked her while starting to drive towards the city area.

"Not really, whatever's on is fine with me, as long as it's not another blood packed movie, like the last one we saw", she said making a face.

"Okay, no blood, I promise... well... maybe just a little...", he teased her, and turned on the radio letting the music fill their ears.

Zac and his friends, after paying the cab they had just caught, started to walk across the mall area, heading towards the main shopping center square, where Daniel and the girls were waiting for them. Though they were a bit late, Daniel didn't seem to mind, he was sitting amongst the girls, having a great time chatting and flirting with them. He seemed almost annoyed when the rest arrived.

"Sorry we are a bit late", Zac said looking at the girls around Daniel.

"Don't worry, I was just telling them about the time when you almost got ran over by a car while riding you bike, and if it hadn't been for me and Nick, Hanson would probably not have gone very far", Daniel stated proud of himself, while Nick just whispered into Zac's ear:

"Don't listen to him, he's just showing off again".

Zac frowned and then introduced himself and the others to the girls, since Daniel didn't seem like he was going to.

Kimmy, one of the girls, introduced the girls to the boys. "I'm Kimmy, and these are my friends: Joanna, Samantha, Melani, Julia and Katie, pleased to meet you guys", she said smiling shyly.

All 11 of them sat down and started talking. The girls mainly wanted to speak with Zac since it wasn't everyday that they got the chance to speak with one of the Hansons. Daniel didn't seem too pleased, but still did his best to impress them with his silly comments.

Zac wasn't too impressed by the girls, he knew that they mainly wanted to talk to him coz he was in Hanson, and some of them made really stupid questions, but the rest of his friends seemed to be having a nice time, so he just played along.

Time passed quickly, and Zac was quite happy to leave.

"Whow, look at the time, my mum's gonna KILL me if I don't get back soon!", Nick said almost shouting. "Don't know about you guys, but I've gotta split! It was nice hanging out with you all, lets do it again some other time", he said looking around him and finally resting his eyes on Melanie, smiling at her.

"Yeah, well I better go too, we've got practice early tomorrow, so I've got to have an early night", Zac quickly said, "see you all again I hope", he lied.

Daniel, Peter and Andrew decided to stay a bit longer with the girls, so Nick and Zac after saying goodbye to everyone headed off to catch a taxi back home.

"Man did you see that chick Melanie? Boy was she HOT!", Nick said placing his arms behind his head and looking up towards the starlit dark sky.

"She wasn't too bad", Zac said trying to remember which one was Melanie.

"Wasn't TOO bad? Man, are you okay? Don't tell me you didn't see any girl you liked there!"

"Well, I thought they were all kind of dumb actually, Kimmy was alright though", he said remembering Kimmy's shy smile everytime she was a bit nervous.

"No way! You couldn't have only liked her! What about Samantha, she wasn't too bad either", Nick asked hoping that Zac would agree with him for once.

"Samantha? The one with the white almost see-through top? I swear she put that on deliberately, like as if we are some women hungry boys!"

"Well aren't we?", Nick answered surprised, "besides, she can wear whatever she wants to, and I thought it was kind of sexy".

"Well, I guess I'm overreacing, I guess I don't like fixed up dates like this... And they were kind of dumb, I mean Joanna and Julia just kept asking all these real annoying questions, Melanie kept flirting with everyone and Katie didn't say a word... or did she? I guess Kimmy was the only one I could actually have a conversation with".

"Whatever...", Nick said disappointed in his friend, "I don't know about the others, but I think you weren't yourself today, you didn't do anything abnormal, all you did was sit there and answer questions".

"Exactly! All I did was answer questions, what else could I do, when they were bombing me like 1000 questions per minute?"

"Okay, okay, maybe you're right, but I still think that you were acting weird, don't worry though, it happens to all of us... HEY!! A taxi! Get it Zac!", Nick shouted.

Zac ran up to the street and put his hand out. The taxi stopped and they both got in and without saying another word waited for the driver to take them to their houses.

Taylor skated across the mall area on his rollerblades, followed by his friends, John and Sam.

"Hey you guys! Remember that guy with the flower shop? The one who kicked us out last time?", Taylor called out to his friends from behind of him.

"Yeah, we almost knocked over his stand!", Sam giggled as he swiftly overtook Taylor and was now in the lead, letting the wind brush through his longish blond hair.

"What about him?", John asked slowly picking up speed trying to get closer to Taylor who was now second in line.

"Let’s go pay him a visit again", Taylor proposed, "boy, will he be glad to see us again".

"What? Are you nuts? He’ll probably ban us from the mall if we do it again!", John said slowing up, letting himself fall behind the others.

"We won’t stay long, just enough to let him know we are here, and then we’ll beat it", Taylor called back at him signaling to him to pick up some speed, and then pushing himself towards where Sam was further ahead.

"I’m in!", Sam called out as Taylor reached him, "let’s give that moron a fright!"

"Are you coming John?", Taylor asked.

"Okay, lets do it!", John almost yelled, causing a few heads to turn and look at him.

The three of them made their way to the second floor passing amongst the people who some times sward at them. Luckily security was low that day so they didn’t have a problem getting away with rollerblading in the mall.

"Okay, we’re here!", Taylor signaled to the others to slow down and just before they were in front of the flower stand they started racing as fast as they could up and down the mall near the flower shop, often coming up real close to the flower stand making the leaves on the flowers shake from the air they were making by passing by so fast. The man who owned the shop was inside helping a couple decide on some flowers when he noticed what the boys were doing and quickly came out to tell them off.

"Hey you three! Get out of here!", he yelled at them waving his hands in the air obviously pissed. "I’ll call the cops you little brats if you don’t leave now!"

Taylor and his friends circled around him a couple of times, almost causing him to fall down and then took off towards the exit at the other side of the mall. The three of them were all laughing hysterically by the time they were out and safe.

"Did you see the face on the guy! We scared the shit out of him!", Sam said half talking, half laughing as they all skated towards the park to rest.

"Pretty neat huh?", Taylor said skating up to a bench in the park and sitting himself down. The other two did the same, and they all just sat there for a moment without talking to catch their breath.

John finally spoke up, "so what got into you Tay? You aren’t usually that adventurous".

"I’m not? Well, I don’t know, I just felt like it I guess".

"Are you sure you are okay? I still think you went over your normal limits today", John spoke again.

"I’m fine okay? What’s your problem anyway?", Taylor snapped back, starting to get annoyed by his friend’s questions.

"I think John is right, Tay, you are acting kind of weird today", Sam joined in the conversation, having noticed Taylor’s unusual mood.

"Two against one? That’s great guys! I said I’m fine, and I mean it! It’s not like the first time I’ve suggested to rollerblade in the mall, jeez, I won’t do it again, if you are to give me all this!"

"It’s not just that, it’s… like now for instance, you are getting annoyed over nothing, it’s not like you Tay", John tried to knock some sense into his friend.

"Everything all right at home?", Sam asked concerned.

"Yeah, everything’s okay, do you mind if we talk about something else now?", Taylor said stretching his legs that were feeling heavy from wearing the rollerblades for so long. He felt like taking them off, but he knew that it wasn’t the place to do so.

"It’s Tania isn’t it? Did you guys brake up or something?", John asked.

"Yeah, we broke up, but why would you think it’s her, Ike was on me this morning about me being upset about it all, but I’m fine, really! I just don’t get you all!"

"Sorry man, we didn’t know", Sam said looking down at his rollerblades feeling kind of bad.

"Don’t be, I’m not, I mean she was a nice girl, but you know how she is, I’m just not in for such a relationship at the moment like she is, I want my own space".

"Either that, or you were just a bit fed up with her", Sam said again, wishing he hadn’t opened his mouth and said a thing like that.

Taylor didn’t seem like he was bothered though, "I don’t know… I think she is a great girl, but maybe you are right… Maybe I have had enough, and I guess you are right about my attitude today, I am feeling kind of bad about Tania, but I’m okay now".

"What you need is a new girlfriend!", John said exchanging smiles with Sam.

"Don’t you dare go looking for girls for me, I can find my own girlfriends and at the moment I don’t want any", Taylor said getting up to leave, "Let’s go people, I got to be home for dinner".

"Whatever you say Taylor", John said still smiling slyly with Sam.

They all then skated off to their houses. Taylor was feeling kind of better now, he always felt better after talking to his friends, even though they weren’t much help some times, he was just glad he had someone to talk to when he wanted to. His friends where wrong though, he didn’t need a new girlfriend, he was quite happy on his own at the moment, and whatever they were up to, he was determined to prove them wrong.
