Chapter Four, Dance It Up

"Wow" Kevin said as they walked up.

"Wow yourself" Minerva said smiling as she looked him up and down.

Kevin was dressed in khakis and a shirt that was covered in swirling reds and yellows and greens. He looked VERY fine.

Brian had on jeans and a white wife beater under a blue plaid shirt, which was unbuttoned to show his undershirt and his chest muscles. Laura thought he looked very fine and was about to tell him so when Minerva nudged and she realized she had been semi gawking at him.

On to the the other two BSBs. AJ had on black leather pants and a black mesh shirt with some silver beads. He also had a leopard print cowboy hat on. He wiggled his eyebrows at the girls but they were too caught in their dates during the introductions to do more than say "Hi". Howie was a bit more conservative, he had on jeans and a button up shirt, but it was brightly colored with yellows and greens and looked very nice himself.

Finally Kevin asked Minerva "Do you dance much?" and she replied, "Every chance I get." so they went onto the floor and a circle soon formed around them as they danced, arm in arm.

"You are good" he said.

"So are you" she said and kissed him on the cheek.

He was surprised but made nothing of it since it had seemed just a spur of the moment thing. Meanwhile, Brian and Laura were also dancing but away in the corner, so as not to be noticed. He explained to her his job and how he sang with the other guys and she took it all in stride. Then she explained who she and Minerva were and he confessed to have known who she was. Surprised, she asked why he decided to still come, because so newspapers had also duped them "The Untouchables" due to their refusal to marry or even stay very long in a relationship.

"I went out to see if you were really so cold, but also because you looked really sweet" he said.

"And...?" she said questioningly.

"And what?" he said.

"And am I so cold?" she asked smiling into his face.

"No I think that you had a bad streak with a bunch of jerks" he said.

Meanwhile Kevin and Minerva had stopped for a moment to take a break and they went to the bar for some drinks. She had a Tom Collins and he ordered a margarita. As they sipped their drinks, they discussed their lives a little more and they, like Brain and Laura discussed theur jobs and both were glad that the other was involved in something that provided money as well as put them in the spot light because they could sympathize more with each other, and they also felt that the other could be trusted more because they didn't have any motive such as money or fame to pretend to like the other.

Then Minerva began laughing hard, and Kevin turned to see what was so funny and he saw AJ and Howie dancing together while two girls looked on intently. Although they had been merely trying to illustrate some dance moves, they looked awfully funny, especially when Howie dipped AJ and AJ put a leg into the air and leaned back like a girl would. Finally the two girls seemed to get the idea and they went back to dancing with the guys.

Then Kevin turned to Minerva after they finished laughing and said, "Is it me or is it warm in here?"

"It is pretty warm" she said.

"Would you like to drive down to the beach?" he asked.

"Just to go and walk?" she asked.

"Yeah, believe me, you can trust me alright?" he said understanding he slight nervousness.

"Alright let me go tell Brian and Laura" she said.

"No uh I'll tell them" he said.

"Oh ok" she said.

So he walked over to where Brian and Laura were sitting talking and he pulled Brian to one side.

"Minerva and I are going to go and hang at the beach for while, then we MAY go to my room alright? So no midnight intrusions." he said.

"I read you loud and clear" Brian said smiling.

"Alright" Kevin said then he went over to where Minerva was waiting and they left the club.
