Armored Saint- Revelation


The Saint returns- thats all I have heard for the past few weeks so what do I find when I buy this- disappointment. No, the band hasn't cheesed out like Metal Church did on their reunion album (Masterpeace) and they did get much credit for that. The thing that bothers me is a lot of the songs don't have a sense of melody. The songs that do stand out here are "Den Of Thieves" which is the most captivating of the whole disc, "Creepy Feelings", and the semi-acoustic, semi-ballad "Upon My Departure". The bonus track "No Me Digas" is also very good but doesn't do a whole lot and John's voice just doesn't sound all that emotional on this song. The most emotion I hear is in "Den Of Thieves".
