The multi-platinum selling trio (Fredo Starr, Sticky Fingaz, and Sonee Seeza) has just gotten back together much to their fans delight. Their fourth album "Bacdafucup: Par 2," will be Onyx's first cd since the group parted ways in 1998.
Their third album "Shut 'Em Down," was more mature, and targeted a broader spectrum of Onyx fans. They targeted the old listeners as well as the new jacks. The success they got from their second cd "All We Got Is Us," (which was mostly self-produced), rode the charts until "Shut 'Em Down" was released a few years later.
The group briefly disbanded after completing the 'Survival of the Illest' tour along with DMX, Def Squad and Cormega. During that time, Sticky Fingaz and Fredro Starr released separate solo albums and worked on their film careers. Be sure to keep an eye out and an ear to the street for Onyx's upcoming release.
