FANTASIA BARRINO

65 million or so votes cast the 19-year-old single mom into the limelight when Fantasia Barrino won the 3rd season of American Idol. Many watched her cry through the whole season but eventually her voice not her tears got her through.

Her first first single, "I Believe," will be recorded and released soon and Fantansia is excited to start working on her debut album. She is hoping that her first album will showcase all types of music and is looking forward to writing some of her own material.

One of the topics she'd like to touch up on is teenage motherhood and learning to provide for her 2-year-old daughter, Zion. Unfortunately she isn't raising her dauther with the girl's father but that hasn't gotten Fantasia down as she says, "I don't bother him, and he doesn't bother me."

Some viewers were shocked to find out that Fantasia was a young single mom, but she says don't judge a book by it's cover. "Just because I have a child, it doesn't change me, it just makes me a great mom. I sacrificed and I left my child for three months and I came out here and worked hard. I feel like a good mom. I'm a strong woman now. I fought so that my child can have the best. Don't look down on me, pray for me."

Fantasia has plenty of fans and I'm sure that whatever it is she does, she'll do it with tears in her eyes and a big smile on her face.

Starting July 14th, Fantasia will be joining the other 11 finalists as they hit the road for the 'American Idol Live' tour.
