Born on Staten Island on April 1, 1971, Method Man burst on the scene with his crew The Wu-Tang Clan, and electrified the microphone with his mush-mouthed lyrical style. When you think Wu, you think M-e-t-h-o-d Man!

The raw sound of "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" is a hip hop collectable (for those true hip hop heads). The Wu influenced boo-coo rappers, and as the album rose to fame, so did Method Man.

As part of the Wu-Tang Clan's contract, each member had the authority to sign separate solo contracts, so Meth made a move to Def Jam Records where he spit out his solo debut "Tical." He blew up the charts with his single "Bring the Pain." Then he kept the clubs banding with his collabo with Mary J. Blige as they dropped, "I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By."

Meth went on to do more work with The Wu and then showed up on the big screen in several films including the Hype Williams hit "Belly." He followed up with "Tical 2: Judgment Day," and the title track Judgement Day was definitely an official millennium hit.

Keeping it hot, Method Man teamed up with his man Redman and recorded "Blackout!" That long-awaited collabo was another instant hip hop collectable that was quickly added to many dj crates and playlists.
