Once Sunshine Anderson was discovered at North Carolina University - waiting in a cafeteria line of all places - she hit it big in the entertainment industry with her debut single "Heard It All Before".
She emerged on the music scene with an exciting and provaocatove debut Your Woman. Sunshine is not only a vocalist but also a songwriter. Your Woman traces the highs and lows of romantic relationships from first blush to final conflict, through a series of confessional tracks.
Her smash hit single "Heard It All Before," was a definite club track and "Letting Down My Guard," only showcased Sunshine's ability to lay down a heart-wrenching, beautifully sung ballad.
Sunshine is managaged by fellow recording artist Macy Gray who proclaims that, "Sunshine is a star through-and-through." And that she is. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Sunshine Anderson sang in musicals and talent shows throughout her childhood. Even though her parents encouraged their daughter to develop her natural gift for singing and to pursue her creative goals, Sunshine always had another career path in mind.
Sunshine attended college at North Carolina Central University where she obtained a B.S. in criminal justice. She then relocated to Washington D.C., where she took a government job in human resources. But that urge to express herself through music took over and Sunshine eventually relocated to Los Angeles, where she subsequently released her 2001 debut album Your Woman.
