I just got back from seeing them in Chicago on October 6th and 7th. I read reviews, looked at pictures, and listened to soundclips, but nothing could prepare me for what I experienced. I had never seen the Backstreet Boys in concert, and it was so much better than I could ever imagine!!!!!
The show was basically the same as you described, with just a few little differences. The way they start the show filled me up with such anticipation and excitement, I could hardly wait to see them. When the countdown was over and the Star Wars music started, I couldn't believe I was actually seeing THEM come out of that black box and fly to the stage. That was such a cool way to come in. Seeing Nick for the first time was just incredible it's a feeling I will never forget. They sang Larger Than Life, Get Down, andThe One. All 5 of them looked and sounded absolutely wonderful. They had their blue outfits on and the only difference from your concert was the dancers were dressed in black jumpsuits instead of orange. Also, Nick was not wearing a ponytail, which I hoped he would, but that's okay. His hair is a bit longer now, and looks very good!
Then they each spoke to the crowd in the same order as you described and said basically the same things. Nick talked the longest and was so cute I could hardly stand it! After that they sang As Long As You Love Me with the chair dance included. They wore the same outfits as you described, and yes,I love those long coats on them too! I loved that light blue shirt on Nick!
They sang Don't Want To Lose You Now the same way as in your concerts. They looked so good in their black leather outfits. They all sound so perfect during the whole show better than on the CD if that's possible! Then they sang Quit Playing Games and flew. I just couldn't imagine what that would be like. I loved it! That is such a cool thing to do, and they come so close to you! Kevin flew right over us and was doing lots of flips. Brian flew to the left of us and was so cute acting like he was running through the air and pretending he was a bird! Nick flew to the right of us. He was throwing stuffed animals to people. It doesn't look like he wants to move around too much up there though!
Next was Don't Want You Back. I was looking forward to this one, and I was not disappointed! Nick was on the pole right in front of us, and oh my goodness he was so wild and sexy!!!!! My sister loves Brian, but said she couldn't take her eyes off Nick during this song! The only difference from your shows is they were wearing black sleeveless shirts under their red vest things. After that, they brought mothers and daughters up on stage for The Perfect Fan. I really liked the way they did Back To Your Heart with Kevin lifted up on the round with the other guys sitting down on the stage. It was beautiful.
Next was Everybody, We've
Got It Goin' On, and That's The Way I Like It. I LOVED this part of the
show! It was so full of energy! And you're right, it is hard to describe
the way they dance in That's The Way I Like It ~ you have to just see it.
It was so awesome!! Nick was SO wild! He kept moving his body all around,
and then he would fall down on the stage and then jump up!
Everyone was dressed in white,
but it was a little different from your shows. Nick had on white pants,
a silver sleeveless shirt, and a white jacket. He took the jacket off during
That's The Way I Like It, so I was able to see his shark tattoo!! He also
had a white head scarf on and it looked so cute!
Then they sang Spanish Eyes, I'll Never Break Your Heart, and No One Else Comes Close. I loved Nick's part in No One Else Comes Close. It was really cool that they sat the whole time during these songs on the lifted round stage. Brian was so cute when the stage started to rotate ~ he was making funny faces and waving at the crowd.
It was a lot of fun to see the hat dance in All I Have To Give. I love that part and it looks even better than on TV! The way they did Show Me The Meaning was so beautiful. They all put so much heart into that song. Nick danced with a dancer in front of me ~ he must really like that part because he gets so much into it. He almost makes you feel like you are the one out there dancing with him. They had the same pink suits on, and I think they all looked so handsome in them.
Next was It's Gotta Be You.
I LOVED this part of the concert! They all seemed to have so much fun during
this song ~ the way they were introducing the band members and the dancers
was so cute! All of their personalities really seemed to come out ~ they
were all being so cute with each other!
They were playing with stuffed
animals that people threw up, and just goofing around with each other.
Nick picked up this stuffed animal and was hitting Brian over the head
with it! I could go into so much detail here, but you know how cute they
all can be!
Nick was being SO CRAZY ~
it was one of my favorite parts of him! Their outfits were different from
the ones you saw. They all had these matching pants on. They were kind
of like pajama type pants that were silver and had dragons on them.
Nick and Brian's had red dragons,
and Kevin, AJ, and Howie's had black dragons on them. (The dragons kinda
of looked like AJ's new dragon tattoo on his back.) Then they each wore
their own kind of shirt. Nick had a black long sleeve shirt on. Brian looked
so cute because he had a red baseball hat on backwards! After the song
they did their bows, and the confetti came down. It was so cute though,
because at one point, Nick just took this leaping dive on his stomach in
the confetti on the stage. He was sliding with so much force that he almost
flipped over! He is just SO SO cute!
I Want It That Way sounded absolutely incredible. The crowd was singing really loud, but you could still hear the BSB good. They were being so cute and putting so much feeling into their last song. They did their final bow and left the stage. I sat there not believing what I saw. This whole show from start to finish was so awesome! They way they do everything, from the way they sound, they way they look, the way they act, the choreography ~ just everything about this show was so magical. I feel so lucky to be a part of it all. I love them SO SO much ~ it was a dream come true.
The next night I was so happy
to be going AGAIN! We sat in a different place this time. It was kind of
cool to see the different side of the stage, even though I think my eyes
were still on Nick most of the time! AJ flew right towards us during Quit
Playing Games. We waved at him, and he looked at us, smiled and waved back
~ it was SO cool!! Nick and Brian seemed in an especially good mood this
night ~ they were being so cute together. And of course Nick was very wild
and sexy again ~ I think more so than AJ!
Oh and I forgot to tell you
I saw Nick walking into the arena before the concert! He was wearing black
pants, a black short sleeve shirt, and a black baseball hat on backwards.
I was so excited!
Well, I didn't mean to go into so much detail, but I had fun telling you about it and hope you have enjoyed hearing about it!
