Back To Concert IslandBack To The BoatIt all started when my friend was blabbering about going to the concert of the year. of course it was the backstreet boys concert. Any way it was the 5th of october, 1999; about 10:30 at night, i had already been sleeping. and my friend Nancy called i suppose she was talking to my dad, but all i know is that the next morning when i woke up it was about 6:00 amand my dad said "oh your friend nancy called last night!" and i was like "AND, what did she want." and he was like "oh she wanted to know if you could go to the concert with her, she had two extra tickets." After all of the begging and crying he finally said "YES!!!"
I did not go school that day, you see nancy won two fan conference passes from our local radio station. she ws going to go in with her older sister. i was going to wait out side with her mom and her cousin, then all of a sudden, John Rizzro came out of nowhere and said he had extra tickets to the fan conference. I didn't think about it until all these girls started screaming. i finally went up to him and as this other girl approached him he ws like "what is brians birthday!?' and i kinda hesitated, while the girl ran back to her friend and asked her the question, and i was like "FEBRUARY 20th 1975!!!!" and John Rizzro was like " here go on in" and i started to scream and cry. i snuck my friends cousin in. we took our seat. we had maybe the 7 or 8th row. then the curtain opened alittle, and kevin came out. the crowd went crazy. i started crying. girls were getting in trouble because they were taking pictures. finally girls were able to get up and ask the boys questions. when i finally got the courage, i got up and i was behind a few people. as i got closer i went krazy. i finally got up there it was my turn, i was like "aj," he wasn't really payin attention, them i was like HELLO! and he was like "oh sorry babe" i was thinking of something. and i was like Aj what do the three chinese symbols represent? and he was like this one is dangerous, this one is different, and this one is bear. and then i said oh and kevin happy belated birthday, and i got a gift for you. so i walked in front of all of the boys and i gave kevin his gift and he grabbed me and hugged me. it was so unexpected. i started to cry. as i walked away i started to shake, and some guy was like do you need an ambulance, and i was like no i am fine. after the conference ended, i got to touch nick hand and howie and aj posed for me, and i waved to brian.
after the conference. we waited outside for about 3 hours. and we finally got to our seats. the concert was so cool until mandy moore came on . eyc was so fine, and then the boys came out. they were behind a big black curtain. the were on space boards , while the theme of star wars came on it ws so cool. i lost my voice the next day. my favorite part of the whole concert is when the boys were singing Don't want you back. that of course is my favorite song. the entire night was dedicated to the backstreet boys. i had never had an experience like that before. every one should have a chance to experience something like this.
