ºWell all i did was add a graphic link to the 1999 Backstreet Pride Awards on the main page. But you can't vote 'til June 1st.
ºI made some new banners for my site. I guess you could use them, but I'm warning you they're a lot bigger in size (kilobytes) than my regular one. This one (banner4.gif) is bigger by 20k than this one (banner4b.gif). I tried shortening the first one....the result is the second one. Not much dif.

º I'm on my March rak right now so the Shania and Grammy stuff should be up soon....just too lazy to do it now. Dat's it for now!
Monday, March 8, 1999
ºThe Docks - added separate pages for banners & webrings. 4 links added.
ºSchedule & TV Guide - added some past Feb. dates. Also added March dates.
ºGuestbook - changed the pictures a while ago. Don't know what I mean? Check it out! (don't forget to sign it too.)
ºArticle Island - slightly different layout. Finally added the "Entertainers of 1998" article that I promised to post while ago.
Other Stuff
º Unfortunately, the Backstreet Boys didn't win in the "Best New Artist" category at the Grammys. The lost to Lauren Hill. oh well. she deserves it. The guys did present an awards though. The pix from the Grammy should be on my site soon.

º The Shania Twain special.....WOW! It was really amazing! The first sang All I Have To Give then later on performed From This Moment with Shania. All of them got to sing by themselved or with Shania. They all had their chance in the spotlight. Yes, even Kevin who we all know doesn't get much opportunity to do so. In case you missed it, I will be capturing the pix soon as well.

º The Pay-Per-View concert - did you miss it? Don't worry I feel your pain (hehehe). Well its rumored that the Orlando concert will be released on video sometime in April...woohoo! But wait...here's something even better for you Canadian fans. MuchMusic will be airing it March 22 @ 6 and 9pm EST! Check it out! (yeah i know it was a let down last time, but I doubt the wonderful people at MuchMusic will disappoint us a second time.)

º On March 1st, Brian went to Kentucky, to his old high school, Tates Creek High School, to record the song "Perfect Fan" (on the upcoming album) with a 45 member choir. To find out more, click here.

º Ginuwine Eyes Collaborations With 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys --- yep, that's the headline on the official MTV site. To read more click here. (it doesn't say much about the Backstreet Boys though)

º The RIAA is unveiling a new Diamond Award on March 16. This award means sales of 10 million units or more of a sinlge title. Billboard Online has more info.

º I was just surfing the 'net when i came accross something you people might be interested in. Did you catch the guys on the Rosie O'Donnell show? Both times? If you click here, you'll find video footage of their performance as well as pix (but then again, you could head over to this part of my site to see pix from their October performance. hehehe.)
º In the Flashes section on the current issue of Entertainment Weekly, (March 12,1999) it mentioned stuff about the previews of the three Backstreet Boys songs on the Britney Spears album.
Boys on the Side

Movies do it. TV does it. So why can't music have coming attractions? Well, now it does. Fans who let their Britney Spears CD "...Baby One More Time" keep running after the last song fades will hear a preview of three tracks from "Millennium," the new Backstreet Boys album due in May. The synergistic move was the brainchild of Jive Records, the label that Spears and the Boys share. Though the company declines to comment, Max Martin, who produced songs on both albums, says the promotional gimmick ("You have to do whatever it takes to make people interested") may be the wave of the future. But the experiment has left Spears feeling exploited. Says the singer, "If I would've known I had a choice, I wouldn't have done it." Baby, no more times? ---Dave Karger

My whole point of posting this little article was to point out that Briney Spears "wouldn't have done it" if she had a choice. Now, if I were her, I wouldn't want to do it either. Say you were releasing your debut album, why would you want other artists' work on it? (I know it's THE Backstreet Boys, but still...)
