Argo's 30, Lions 15

The Argos finally came away with a win this season, to put their record to 1-2-0. The Argos outmatched the B.C. Lions, and dominated pretty much the entire game. Jay Barker was excellent at quarterback, and extremely determined to get his first professional victory. After the game, Barker was pretty beat up. The Lion's defensive line easily got through the Argo offensive line. The offensive line was extremely vulnerable, and made tons of mistakes. The Argo's lost over 50 yards, due to three bad snaps by Chad Folk, that sailed way over Barker's head. On top of those snaps, Barker often had to make one handed grabs on the snaps, from the shotgun position. Barker finished with 2 TD's thrown, 355 yards passing, and 1 interception. Derrell Mitchell was once again spectacular, finishing with well over 100 yards receiving. Punt/kick returner, Don Hintson had his second touchdown off a punt return, in as many games (this season). He ran for 72 yards, in a great display of speed, and agility. Of course, The Pinball was his usual self, finishing with over 100 yards receiving, and about 70 yards rushing. He easily outplayed former teammate (and current Lion), Robert Drummond, who was invisible until the second half. The Argo defence was excellent, in particular, Kelly Wiltshire, Demitrious Maxie, and Donald Smith. An all around great effort by the Argo's (excluding the offensive line), in picking up their first win of this campaign.
