Advertising in Print and Video was taught by Mr. LaPlante

In this mini-course, students had the opportunity to take video clips off of the computer and make them into a one minute movie.They got the opportunity to shoot their own footage around the school, and then make their own movie. When they had finished making their movie, they "burned" it on to a CD so that they could take it home with them.

REMEMBERING THE HOLOCAUST

Remembering the Holocaust was taught by Mrs. Pluim

This mini course offers the students the opportunity to read primary sources, literature, and watch videos that talk about what it was like during the period of time during the Second World War for the Jewish people. The class took a trip to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. This museum contains some amazing artifacts of the Holocaust such as shoes from all of the children who were killed during the Holocaust.

IMPROVISATION: A CRASH COURSE ON COMEDY

Improvisation: A Crash Course in Comedy was taught by Ms. Fleming

In this mini course, students got a chance to learn different techniques on how to be spontaneous in dramatic improvisation of on-the-spot comedy through the use of various theater games, acting exercises, and watching comedy shows such as Who's Line is that Anyway and Saturday Night Live.. On the last day of mini courses, the group gave a performance at the Middle School.
