She was admitted to the Peabody Institute at 5 and kicked out at 11. She began playing at a gay bar in her area and became very popular quickly. After college she moved to LA and became a member of "Y Kant Tori Read?", a pop group that didn't see much success. After being raped by a crazed fan, Tori began to open herself through her music. Since that time, she has released numerous albums (Under the Pink, Little Earthquakes, Boys for Pele, from the choirgirl hotel, and more)..
