**BERKELEY SHOW**
We left around 3:45 from Santa Rosa. We ended up getting there and had
Thai food. What we didnt know was Billy shook hands with people while
we were eating...d'oh!!!
We got in line around 6:45 and I talked to past Pumpkinheads I met, Ammy
ppl from Edge, bridge school, signings...
We were let in around 7:15 and I talked to Steph and more Pumpkinheads.
The concert didn't start until 8:30, a half hour late.
Everyone cheered and was excited, especially considering they annonced
the breakup the day before. They started with Rock On which is always
fun to hear live, considering it is an unreleased cover. They also
played The Everlasting Gaze which is always rockin, even though we had
seats and I couldn't move, but I tried to rock out! Stand Inside Your
Love was awesome, it was the first time I heard it live. This Time was
the highlight of the evening considering it has to do with saying goodbye
and features Billy solo on the guitar. I was in tears, it was powerful!
Other songs I can remember from the top of my head are: Heavy Metal
Machine, Try Try Try, I of the Mourning, Blew Away (very cool)
Blue Skies Bring Tears (cool),Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Fuck You
(kick ass), Today (incredible), Disarm, *teases from hummer, spiteface
, never let you go (third eye blind mock), fade to black* Encore:Drown
which was what I hoped I wouldhear, it was great!
Billy and James talked about how Berkeley was the city where hippies
came from. And they sang songs about San Francisco. Quite funny. Can't
remember much else, but it was an incredible evening. -Matt
