In August of 2008, I will graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's degree in English writing as well as a certificate in Public and Professional Writing.

At the University of Pittsburgh, I took over 30 writing and literature classes covering a wide variety of topics. I graduated with a 3.5 gpa on a 4.0 scale in my major at Pitt.

In the spring of 2008, I worked as a communications intern at the Asbury Heights, a community for the aging. At Asbury Heights, I wrote many articles for its three different newsletters (see writing samples), and I also taught a weekly poetry class to its residents. My internship at Asbury Heights enabled me to write in a real-life job setting, giving me the vital skills and experience I needed to go beyond the classroom.

I am proficient in Microsoft Office, including Publisher, and I am able to work on both Macs and Pcs.
