Tilt
- Collect 'Em All: CD Somewhere
between the time Tilt broke-up and got back together, they got pissed.
With new member, ex-Screw 32 bassist Jimi Cheetah, Collect 'Em All is an
aggressive, angry album, that sounds more like Naked Aggression than Tilt
to me. Not that this is bad. It's a solid album, with great tracks like
Storm
Center,
Dental Wreck and Minister Of Culture. Fans of
their earlier, more pop-influenced stuff may be turned off by Cinder Block's
lack of harmonic hooks and more gruff and edgy vocals - but not me. I love
it. I think it's a more personal album for the band, with wonderful, emotion
charged lyrics, and a harder, faster sound. I thoroughly enjoyed all 15
songs. Is it better than Play Cell or Till It Kills? No, but it's not worse
either, just different.
