This reporter has been told a SSI resident has reported her backyard birdfeeder was smashed to pieces by a gang of squirrels. "I was so naive," the distrought homeowner said. I have been feeding them! I was so good to them! I thought they were cute and had such bushy tails but look what they have done! I guess I will rebuild but I have learned a very hard lesson.

It's sad this growing young population of squirrels on the island seem to have no regard for the kindness of humans, personal property or the environment. Please report all acts of violence to the SSI Police Department.
