Bradley Nowell, founder of Sublime, was pronounced dead @ 12:28 p.m. saturday may 25th, 1996 in a hotel room in san fransisco. Sublime was touring the area at this time. The probable cause of death: accidental drug overdose. brad was 28 years old.
since may 25th, 1996 Sublime's success has sky-rocketed... the long beach band consisted of brad, on guitar and lead vocals, bud, on the drums, and eric on the bass guitar. after the death of brad the band become well known on the national circuit. for years they were known on the west coast as a crazy ska/punk band. they were known for selling their instruments before concerts to buy booze and drugs. their minds were on having a good time. that luck soon ran out.
this article is probally my favorite Sublime article. it makes me want to laugh and cry all at the same time. so enjoy it. it brings Sublime to your personal level.
