CESARIA EVORA: MISS PERFUMADO

Cesaria Evora is an amazing woman.  This 1992 album is being released in the US for the first
time.  The album established this 57-year-old singer from the Portuguese West African island of Cabo Verde
as an international star.  Miss Perfumado is an amazing album and introduction to this amazing artist.
This woman doesn't even need to raise her appealingly musky voice to get attention.  The album has some
uptempo songs, but she doesn't raise her voice.
The album begins with a very touching song called “Sodade.”  One of the best songs on the album
is “Bia,” a very amazing song.  Then there is a pretty hip and smooth song called “Cumpade ciznone.”
Direito di nasce,” is a pretty amazing song.  It seems kind of sad and touching.   “Luz dum estrela,” is a
very touching song.  A song with a very smooth flow is “Angola.”  It's pretty hip and an amazing one song.
Other tracks include “Miss perfumado,” “Recordai,” “Tortura,” “Vida tem um so vida,” and more.
Is this album worth your money?  I wouldn't say yes, but you should definitely check her out.
You don't have to understand what she says to like her.  Her amazing voice just catches your attention.
The album is amazing and no wonder it was nominated for a Grammy.  These are 13 amazing songs.
