JENNIFER Y LOS JET: MARIPOSA

It all started when a young teen sent a demo video, of her singing.  She sent it to the father of the
amazing singer Selena.  Selena’s father didn't feel like seeing it, but his wife encouraged him and told him
he had nothing to loose. What he saw in that video was what he called the next Selena.  He saw something
amazing in her.  She was beautiful and a professional singer.  He soon signed the young girl to his label and
signed her in a group as the lead singer.  The group was named Jennifer y los Jet.  Now, Jennifer y los Jet
has already made a couple of hits and 3 amazing albums.  Jennifer is on her way to stardom and fans agree
she sounds like the queen of Tex-Mex, Selena.
The group's new album Mariposa is nothing new to the group, but it has a couple of hits in there.
The album starts out with the cute track “Tengo.”  The track “Que voy a hacer sin ti” is a very powerful
ballad that puts Jennifer's voice in motion and proves that she has talent.  It's one of the best tracks on the
album  “A pesar de todo” is a funky, but sad track.  The track “Jamas, Jamas, Jamas” is very catchy with
the beat.  Then there is the amazing track “Cara a cara.”  To finish the album Jennifer sings an english
song, which could lead to a crossover, “Let me be the one.”  The track won't be a surprise, but some will
love it.
The album is nothing new to Tejano music, but Jennifer's vocals seem to add that little spice to it.
The album isn't close to perfect, but this young girl is on her way to becoming the queen of Tex-Mex.  If
you like Tejano music, this is a pretty good album to get. Although it's not perfect, the album is defenantly
worth your money.
