THE MUMMY

The modern “Mummy” has many amazing features.  Young and old will love the remake of the
1932 classic loaded with amazing effects.  Some people think it's just a rip-off, but as the technology
changes, movies change also and they sometimes seem to get better and other times they get lame.  This is
a movie that has gotten better.

The mummy creature in the movie seems to be very well thought out.  Although it doesn't have
any skin, it looks pretty gross.  The movie is very yucky and  it makes it seem very nasty, but the funny
parts of the movie seem to make you forget that.  What is so gross is when flesh-eating scarabs appear and
eat humans.

The story line seems very creative and amazing. The Mummy suspenseful and horrifying epic
about a couple of treasure-seeking explorers in the Sahara Desert in 1925. The explorers stumble upon a
tomb and eventually set loose a 3,000-year-old creature with a so called “book of the dead.”  The tomb has
an Egyptian priest who had been sentenced to an eternity as one of the living dead.

The film drags on it's action and humor through out the whole movie.   Although the action and
humor are throughout the whole movie, this movie doesn't over do it.  The story line is well planned and
you don't get bored of just seeing guys fighting or whatever.  It's almost like the fourth part of Indiana Jones
we've been waiting for.  It's a non-stop thrill ride.  There are also the eye-popping special effects which
add amazement to the movie.  Another thing are the amazing performances.
