My Concert Reviews, Massey Hall, Toronto, Ont. 20/07/98

Whoever says Smashing Pumpkins suck, are brain dead. Now on with the story.....

Well it goes back to in June when I called for tickets for two straight hours on my Moms cell and kept on getting a busy signal. And when I got through I gave the phone to my Mom and they told her "sold out". I took the phone in dis-belief, and re-dialed and got through to another operator and got tickets on the top balcony.

Yesturday my Dad and I hit Toronto and got better tickets off scalpers and this time we were on the lower balcony on James' side 4th row from the railing. Around 6:00 pm we went to the Hard Rock Cafe. On the way there we saw a black limo...it could have been the pumpkins......

At the Hard Rock I was so excited I had to go to the bathroom a gazillion times! I met a guy named John who was tellin me all sorts of cool stuff and his friend told me that Billy has a poodle named, Drake.

When we got to Massey Hall they were selling t-shirts.....we were talking to the guy and SP started! I raced up to my seat....the fastest I swore I have ever ran.....

They broke into 'To Shelia'. It was beautiful! D'Arcy had her kickin' devil horns on and James was cool too.

They also played 'Transmission'. They had 2 Encores. One lucky guy in the front with his girlfriend caught Billys waterbottle that he threw to them. They threw picks out which was cool too.

I was yelling when it went silent "GO WILLIAM!" and he looked up at me and I waved and he smiled. That was my fav part! And another time is when I yelled "THE BASS WHISPERER!" Which James called her the other night on Much Music since she rides horses. And I would put in an ocassional "YEOWWWWWW!" which people would turn around and look who died. Billy would look up to our side! I was the only one jumping around. Everyone practically stood. And I would yell "GO JAMES"! I think he heard me....

Then at the end he got these people from the front rows and got them upstage and the first girl that got up there Billy took off his guitar put it on her and gave her his pick! If I were her I would be in total shock like she was!

Then they got other people up there and they were playing all the instruments and stuff.

After the concert I talked to the water bottle guy and told him he had luck! His girlfriend had the water bottle and I asked if I could touch it and she decided "yeah i guess...."

I got a Adore tour t-shirt. Its way cool. I can't still believe I saw them live.
