Before SP: D'Arcy lived in Michigan but then she went overseas as an exchange student and things didn't work out there so then she came back but her plane arrived in Chicago and she didn't get in touch with her parents right away so she got a job at a Bakery and lived with a friend for awhile. She met Billy outside a club and they got into an discussion about this band that Billy thought sucked and D'Arcy liked. His first words to her were, "Your full of shit". And he found out she played bass and offered her a position in the band. He gave her copies on tape of 50 songs James and he already came up with and said if she learnt to play them she could join them.
