Okay, okay here's the deal guys and gals, I've been searching and searching
the internet and have found nary a web site that deals Bay Area punk and
ska. I'm not referring to a Rancid page or Dill Records, there's tons of
those, I mean something devoted to the whole enchilada from Good Riddence
to Undercover S.K.A. ! If you're looking for Punk and Ska from outside
of the Bay Area, go to either my 'other music' (for punk) page, my 'what
is ska' page, or 'ska bands.' If you're looking for the Dead or Airplane,
I'm sorry but I can't help you right now, but there's a goodchance that
I will include their stuff on this or another page; I love that stuff too.
Okay, I've wasted way too much of your time already.....
Bay Area Ska
You want ska my friends? The only place that to find a better selection than in the Bay Area, you would probably have to travel back to Jamaica in thethe sixties. Why you would do that, when you can just hitch a ride to 'Frisco? You want ska my friends? Weez gots ourselves some ska.
the Bands:
Bay Area Punk
I'd imagine, that if you asked a lot of of people about Bay Area Punk Rock, they'd probably say something like Green Day or Rancid, and I guess they'dbe right, If you stick to just those two, though, you're just scratching the surface. The following is a list of some of thebest punk bands in the universe, who just happen to live in the bay area...
Again, this is only a small fraction of the Punk bands from the Bay Area, trust me, there's tons more, and I'll be adding stuff all the time...
If you live in the Bay Area, and love to go to concerts, then you need
to
go to the List.
The List has all of the current shows in the Bay Area!
Ska T Boy recently visited my page, and told me
about his. It's got a Bay
Area ska page, and tons of mail order ska and ska-core stuff.
Parasite is where you need to be if your web page
or band needs a free
listing (if you e-mail me, I'll do the same!
Do you have questions? Comments? Do you know, or are you in a band that
