Now, I'll state this again, if you don't know who the Beatles are I'd seriously recommend counseling.
The Beatles were and are most popular band of all time. They changed the face of music, and redirected it's future. The Beatles are: John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals. ) John writes almost all of their songs with Paul McCartney. He is the founding member of the band which used to be called Johnny and the Moondoggies. He changed the name after he had a dream about a man on a flaming pie who said"from now on you will be known as the Beetles with an 'A'. After the Beatles break up John kept releasing new albums. His most famous one is Imagine. In 1980 John was assassinated by a crazed fan. Next is Paul McCartney (bass and vocals) Paul formed Johnny and the Moondoggies after he met Lennon at a show in Liver Pool England (where the quartet is from.) After the break-up Paul formed a band with wife Linda called Wings (possibly best known for The Silly Love Song. Paul is now solo. To the right of Paul is George Harrison (lead guitar and occasional vocals.) George has played with such acts as the Traveling Wilburys (Bob Dylan Tom Petty and Roy Orbison.) Next up is Ringo Starr (a.k.a. Richard Starkey; drums and occasional vocals.) Ringo was the last member added to the band. After the break-up Ringo formed his own band Ringo's All-Star Band. You may know him from the Pizza Hut commercials. Of course there is a happy ending to the story. The Beatles recently reunited and with the help of old tracks recorded by John they released the songs Real Love and Free as a Bird.
