Message From Hostage: (Liner Notes)- Now that we think about it, the CROWD never played with Rik L Rik in the 1979-81 period. No record release gig, no tour, no nothing. So it was fittting when promoter Craig McGahey launched the Beach Blvd reunion show. While the CROWD had played with the Simpletones, this was actually the first ever Crowd, Rik L Rik, Simpletones show. Held at the dank Old World Hall in H.B, the place was stuffed beyond capacity, with a line out the door and around the corner. The show was recorded live on an Akai 12 track and the live rough mix is what appears on the B-side of this record. That night was quite amazing, even on vinyl, the anticipation and energy rings true, better yet, the two live songs are vintage Crowd studd, songs that were once played at the Cuckoo's Nest and the Starwood, but never recorded or released.
