Lao Ma
by ArdentTly

Her smile doth shine upon my soul
And filleth up my cup.
With her I am not just a role.
Her trust doth shore me up.

Tis with her love that I shall rise
From embers of this fire.
And I'll be lost within her eyes
To her love I shall aspire.

Her breath upon my skin so nice
And soothes my savage breast.
My heart is such a lowly price;
I give it with the rest.

And with her love I am set free
To brave this fearsome land.
To think upon her reverie;
For goodness did she stand.

When she died her soul to fly
O'er the land of Chin.
I was left to ponder why?
My heart was rent within.

E'n now she wraps my soul e'r tight
And keeps my ardour strong.
Her words were true and oh so right;
I'll live them all life long.
