Niallse's Interests

Water Drip

Ok now you get to find out why I am called Niallse! Well as you may have noticed from my favorite links, I am a Manchester City fan. Well Being Irish and a City fan, prompted Gavin, a friend from university, who I must add is also a City fan to nickname me Niallse. A name I am rather proud of. At the time of the "Second Christening" City had an Irish player called Niall Quinn playing for them, and a fine player he was (and still is when he isn't injured, for Sunderland). It was a bit of an on going joke as such, in the first few weeks at Uni to pretend I was Niall Quinn's younger brother with the aim of pulling the girlies! It still astonishes me how many fell for it!! LOL. Anyway it had the "desired affect". Ahem! And so the name stuck. It doesn't seem to work anymore though!!

Apart from City, my other interests include, photography, reading, going to the cinema and listening to cool music. My fav bans include : Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Green Day, Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers and Leftfield. Don't get me wrong, I am not just into grungie/punky/alternative stuff. I also listen to Blues and soul music with Bill Withers Greatest Hits being one of my most listened to cd's. Unfortunately I can't actually play any instruments, apart from maybe the triangle! I would however love to learn the acoustic bass guitar and some day I will. A couple of my friends from Uni are very talented however. Hughie has an exceptional voice and can sing virtually anything. This lad could make money out of singing, and I mean BIG money! He also has a good hand for the writing too, and has written many haunting and melodic tunes. Jimmy is a very good guitarist and has actually produced a demo cd with Hughie but they didn't bother persuing this as a career, which is a bit of a shame. Oh by the way Hi guys!! LOL. Back to me I suppose. Well I recently had my belly button pierced (ouch!!), don't ask why, cos I am not even sure myself. Doh!! I am 5ft 11, 78Kg of pure muscle (yeh right!) and have short brown hair. My eyes are hard to describe. They are sort of greenie/brownie/blueie/grey! No joke, just depends on my mood to the colour which becomes most prominent. I wear specs most of the time anyway so that sort of hides them. My favorite things in life include: My family, Italian food, Rioja wine, Man City (my mum will never forgive me for putting city in the same sentance as her), reading good books (I can recommend Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt & The Green Mile by Stephen King, Filth by Irvine Welch, High Fedelity and About a Boy, both written Nick Hornby. The best book I have ever read has to be "A Long Walk To Freedom" the autobiography of nelson Mandela. What a man! I also enjoy playing Championship Manager 2, a football (soccer) manager simulation game which is highly addictive! Oh how could I forget my main interest. Sleeping!! Anyway, thats about all I have to tell at the moment. So why not check out my favorite sites as I am sure you will enjoy them as much as I do. Catch ya round, and if you feel like it you could always sign my guestbook, or email me. Just follow the links. Also if you are interested, remember I am a professionally qualified nutritionist and can provide expert advice F.O.C. to those who sign my guestbook! LOL Best piece of general advice I can give though is "Don't let the bastards get you down". Yes City that is aimed directly at you!! City till I die, I'm City till I die, I know I am, I'm sure I am, I'm City till I die!!

Below can be seen some of the pics that were taken in Trafalar sq. on Sunday 30th May. Remember that date cos it's the most important date in recent Manchester City History. That was the day that the Blues began their climb back into the Premiership, back to were we belong! A 2:2 draw with Gillingham after extra time, with City fighting back from 2:0 with 2 minutes of the 90 left. The resulting victory after a tense and dramatic penalty shootout left us fanatical Blues in raptures, in awe, in total disbelief, in party mood!!!!! Long may it last!
