Cause of Death: Died in London of a heart attack. Cass' fans assure me
the story that she choked on a ham sandwich is false and was invented by
the bitter English Press in response to a delay in the release of details
of her death.
Final Resting Place: Mt. Sinai Memorial Park, Los Angeles, California
Claim to Fame: 1/4 of the the Mamas and the Papas, who had a string of
hits in the 60s. Listen to their harmonies on 'California Dreamin'.
Cass was the only one to have any significant solo success after they split.
My personal favourite was her appearances on the kids show H.R. Puffenstuff.
