17th April...
Anyone else on the official Garbage mailing list will have received a lovely email from Shirley herself, telling us that they are putting aside the b-side album to work on the new studio album! She said:
"The B-sides thing will just have to wait until a rainy day. (Sorry to keep you hanging on that one but we just have to go with our gut lust. Know what I mean?)"

12th April...
Steve and his wife have delivered their baby! It's a baby girl, and was born on March 26th! Congratualtions!

Butch has been remixing work by other bands, which include:
KORN's "Make Me Bad" (Sickness & Salvation Remix)
The Offspring's "Total Immortal" for the soundtrack to "Me, Myself & Irene"
The Offspring's "Blood Stains" for the soundtrack to "Ready To Rumble"

15th March...
The debut album is now available on minidisc, along with Version 2.0.

No news yet on the festivals Garbage are set to play in this year, but rumours are flying about the possibilites of the Heineken Jammin' Festival in Italy, and the Reading Festival, featuring Garbage.

Shirley came 2nd in the UK magazine Rock Sound reader's poll to find the Best Female Personality of 1999!

10th March...
'The World Is Not Enough' is released on DVD in the US on May 16th, and will include Garbage's video. 'Big Daddy' is out now on DVD also, and features the Big Daddy version of the When I Grow Up video.

28th February...
Shirley's school girl outfit at the Grammy Awards was designed by British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.

24th February...
Bad luck at the Grammies... Garbage received no awards.

Shirley had this comment to make on the ceremony..
"The Grammies are just another excuse for everyone to get dressed up and see people they admire, and hopefully see people you admire win something for once."

When When I Grow Up was released, some European countries released The Trick Is To Keep Breathing instead, but now, due to the success of The World Is Not Enough, several countries are selling WIGU as a single! Germany will see the single on February 28th, and Italy will see it little later.

14th February...
I have just received news that Shirley might be pregnant, and due in August!! Keep checking back for any confirmation!

2nd February...
No longer April - various sources have stated that the b-side and remix album will be set for release in May.

Garbage feature on the new Playstation game Gran Turismo 2 with the track I Think I'm Paranoid.

Rumour has it that Shirley might be getting her hair cut! Could this be the new V3 look? What do you think??

For any of you hunting for a Garbage 2000 calendar - give up, because there isn't one! There was one made for 1999 but the people that made it say they have not made a year 2000 edition.

17th January...
Belated birthday wishes to Duke, who turned 48 on the 15th.

There are rumours that the DVD will be released by the end of February.

Ash have revealed that they hope to have Butch Vig work on their new album due out this year.

Melody Maker compiled their readers polls results, and Shirley came 3rd as woman of the year, and 9th as sexiest woman.

11th January...
Garbage have been nominated for two Grammy Awards...
Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal, for Special, and Best Rock Song, also for Special. Winners announced on February 23rd.

Remixes on the remix and b-side album due out in April will include work by Massive Attack and Liam Howlett.

More remix album news: rumours have it that it might be titled something along the lines of "Days in the Sun" (but that's certainly not definite!!).

Rumours flying about the possibility of the release of G-socks, G-toothpaste and G-tampons!!

The V2 video is causing much speculation at the moment, whether it will be DVD only, and the possibility that it might only be available through the official G website.

According to Rock Sound magazine, the release date for the new remixes album is sometime in April 2000.

6th December...
Congratulations to Garbage for winning the Vogue VH1 award last night for the best Visionary Video - for their video Special.

A lot of speculation about the type of shoes Shirley wears has been about recently, and one source says they are Royal Elastics.

Garbage were nominated for a 1999 VH1/Vogue Fashion Award in the category of Visionary Video for Special. The fifth annual awards presentation will be telecast live on Sunday, December 5th from the 26th Street Armory in New York City.

Shirley is in the process of working with a certain shoe company based in Southern California, designing her own shoe for them. With a "tint of orange".

The Australian/NZ release of Alanis Morisette's So Pure, has a remix by Butch Vig on it. It's called the Pure Ecstacy Mix - Extended Mix.

Just discovered... you know those shields Butch has round his drums? Well here's his very own reasoning for them...
"I have custom plexiglass shields over my cymbals to keep the high end frequencies from bleeding into Shirley's microphone....they work really good, it helps keep her vocal clearer in the mix."
