Two hours later, Nick walked in the door, and was immediately confronted by Kelly.

"So?? How was dinner?? What did you talk about? Did you kiss her? Well Nick?"

 "Kelly.. Damn, what is up with you? I had dinner that's all! Kelly, tell me what is going on! Kayrn and I are friends, that's all.. Do you think I'm in love her or something?" Nick asked dropping into a chair, his eyes wide.

"I don't know Nick, you never pay any attention to me anymore."

"Kelly, that is such a lie, if I look away from you, you get all mad, this is not my fault, you just can not handle it if I want to talk to other women." Nick was almost shouting now, his eyes held blue fire.

 "That's it." Kelly said through gritted teeth, "I am LEAVING." Nick fell back into his chair, completely drained, exhausted. He watched her pack, and call a cab.

"Kelly.." He whispered, "Why are you doing this?"

"Because I can NOT put up with this life anymore, half the girls in the world hate me Nick, and.. and I'm tired." Kelly looked into the blue eyes that hours ago she felt would always hold her. "Goodbye Nick." She whispered, then she walked out the door. Nick slumped back against the table, then slammed his fist in the wall, and stormed into his room, slamming the door and throwing a Nintendo game cartridge across the room.

 In the other room Sarah sat straight up into the dark, awoken by the thud. "Kevin" she whispered "What the hell was that?"

"Nothing" he muttered, rolling on his side, and rubbing her thigh. "Just Nick, back from dinner probably."

 "Yeah well, he sounds pissed.. I'm gonna go check on him okay?"

 "Okay.. But don't take too long. I'm gonna get cold without you baby," He smiled, and immediately fell back asleep. Sarah quietly disengaged from his embrace, and slipped out of his room, and tiptoed across the hall and knocked on Nick's door.

 "Nick.. You okay? It's me, Sarah." He opened the door a crack, and peered out at her.

"I really want to be alone right now okay?" Nick snapped, rubbing his forehead.

"Well, can you tell me what happened to piss you off so bad?"

 "Kelly just walked out."

"Oh....." Sarah bit her lip, "Do you wanna talk about it?"

"Why? All I want to know is why....why the hell now, when I did nothing?"

"Well Nick, I don't know the answer to that, but if she did leave you for no reason....Then she isn't worth your love. And you need to find a girl who is okay?"

"Yeah.. You're right, thanks Sarah. Now go on back to Kevin. You deserve him, and he deserves you. Goodnight." Then he smiled at her, and quietly closed the door. Sarah turned and eased back into Kevin's room. Surprisingly, he was awake.

"Kevin," She whispered "I'm going to my room okay?"

"No you're not."

"Excuse me?" she demanded, her hands on her hips.

"Sarah, we can sleep together without having sex okay?" He smiled. Then Sarah noticed he had changed into a pair of white silk pajama bottoms. 'God damn', she thought, 'That is the hottest thing I've ever seen.'

 He smiled at her. "Go put on the top, it's in the closet."

Sarah smiled and slipped into the room. She went to the closet, and slipped the soft silk over her head. She walked back to the bed and climbed in beside Kevin. He kissed her forehead, and the two fell asleep, both more happy then they had been in a long time.
