Sadaf's review from Birch Hill in Old Bridge, NJ on 7-10-99

It all starts on a cloudy Saturay, July 10th, 1999 at Birch Hill.
I couldnt get to the Birch Hill early because I had to visit my sister
in Maryland, so i got there at 6:15, but that wasnt a problem cuz
I was meeting my best friend Michele, and my friend Elisabeth there
who were there from 1:45 in the afternoon. So I was like the 5th person
in line...which was pretty cool, but i missed the Marvelous 3 signing.
Michele got me my autographs from Butch and Jayce and also Greg
from Last Perfect Thing. I knew all the people around me from the
other M3 performance at Birch Hill and Eve 6 at the same place. So
we just chilled, joked around, drove to K-Mart to get water and then
came back. We recalled old memories from the last concerts, you know
the usual. Doors finally opened at 7:30, tho they were supposed to open
at 7. We ran to the front (our usual spot) and waited for 45 minutes
until Last Perfect Thing came on. They're a local Jersey band that
are really good and they'll probably get real famous cuz everyone
loves them once they hear them. So they played their 30 minute set
singing Dramaramas "Anything Anything"(one of my fave 80s song)...
and they left. They passed out stickers and whatever...it was cool.

Then Shades Apart came on, and they just made us Jersey-Shorians
proud of another band. They were great and everyone was crowd
surfing i think i broke my spine from everyone bodies going into
my neck. I got the drummer's drumstick. well i think the whole first
row got one. Shades Apart sang "Tainted Love" (another one of my
favorite 80s songs.)

Then Dovetail Joint came on, they were really good, if you like that
type of rock, they're real good and they were really nice.

They went off and then the countdown to Marvelous 3 started. It was
amazing as usual. The crowd was awesome and Butch was really
happy, he now loves Birch Hill (yay for us) because he gained so
many fans and he made us promise him when they come back here
we have to come back and of course we would, how could you not?
He said how he loves Eve6 and is friends with them but was so happy
when they cancelled cause they got to headline (at the last concert
he leaving him for a woman, it was classic and it was funny. It was just
plain great. They sang "Always Something There to Remind Me" which
was cool again. Cause it just finished the whole 80s theme. And I got
Butch's pick...or was it Jayce's I'm not sure...and I met Slug after the
show, he signed my poster, but I left before Butch and Jayce came out.
They were so incredible that I dont mind how much I ache right now.
They have so much energy that no other band has, and all the bands
there yesterday were very energetic. Marvelous 3 definitely puts on one
of the best shows i have ever seen, i think even better than Eve 6.
And that's how it ended at 2:00am on Sunday July 11th, 1999. :)
