Bleach was Nirvana's debut album and was released on Sub Pop in June of '89 and sold over 50,000 for it's first year. It first appeared in white vinyl covers for the first 2,000 copies. The first 2,000 copies also came along with a poster. An extra track was added in April of '92 known as "Downer".
Nevermind was the best selling album out of their six, and it was the their first year with Geffen Records. The album was released in September in the year of '91. The album featured the hit singles "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Come As You Are", and "Lithium", which boosted it's sales. The song In Bloom also had much influence on the sales. It's first 50,000 copies excluded the track "Endless Nameless", which became a bonus track later on. The album remains to be in the top 200 Billboard albums. Nevermind was immediately a multi-platinum success
Incesticide included B-sides and rarities in which was released in December of '92 by Geffen Records. The hit song featured on the album was a much up-beat tempo and heavier version of "Polly" from Nevermind. The album reached platinum November of '95.
The hit songs "Rape Me","Heart-Shaped Box", and "All Apoligies" were the favorite tracks in the album. Geffen Records had worries that the album wasn't produced smoothly enough but it turned out to be a platinum success and it was certified on September of '93.
Unplugged in New York was one of Nirvana's last albums which was released in late '94. It was also one of 2 albums in which they performed live (From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah) in New York along with Curt and Chris Kirkwood and also Pat Smear (Former Foo Fighter). Unplugged in New York featured acoustic versions of what was the Nirvana favorites inlcuding songs like "All Appologies" (In Utero), Come As You Are" (Nevermind), "Polly" (Incesticide) and many more.
The album included the band's earliest songs ('89) to there most recent performances, ('94).Krist Novoselic listened to over 100 hours of live shows to pick out the 16 tracks. The album was set to be released the same time as The Unplugged session with mtv but was later released in the fall of '96.
