November 2005 Part Two!

Hot off the press! More tidbits from tonight (Friday)'s show. Who knew that d is such a good dancer. I mean, James Brown move over! "I Feel Good!" indeed. d is busy as a bee onstage, being there as one of the musicians onstage; following the progression of the program; keeping an eye and ear out for musical and technical tweeking that might need to take place; being prompter and a gazillion other things besides dancing, of course. ;)Suffice it to say this dancing is not your typical dancing that comes to mind, but more a upper-body sashaying and boogying the likes of which has never been seen before.

More snapshots: Ike has phat costumes and an even phatter way with the piano. Shaun Ryder is a character par excellence(but then who didn't know that already?) Neneh looks like she's ready to fly and does a lot of freestylin' as the week goes on. The 2D and Murdoch puppets are life-size and soooooooo true to life. The looker has waffle ironed her hair tonight and the blokes around me and in the Opera House are totally focused on her and are going on about her to the point of detraction. The audience members who make everyone stand up each time they go to and come from the loo from having had one too many need to read the signs on the walls which explicity say "there will be no leaving the theater during the show." Sitting right smack dab in the middle of the Gallery level is a trip! Manchester rightfully deserves its moniker "Madchester." It's full of people "madferrit," whatever the "it" may be.

Will there be a November Part Three? You betcha!

Peace out,
frances
