Happy Belated New Year, d! This is it! The wonderful month of your UK tour which extends into early February. Am excited to report that I have tickets for the Motherwell, Dudley, Warrington and Aylesbury shows! I am also going to try my darndest to finagle my way into the London show. Will be sure to update the site in the UK while TGTB&TQ is on tour there.
I was looking at the map and was absolutely gobsmacked when I realised that traversing to and fro from one town to another from Motherwell to Aylesbury was going to be no easy task. It'll be another case of flying by the seat of my pants once the airplane flies me across the pond. It's all part of the fun, though, to make one's way to a place one has never been to and to try to find one's way to the venue and then forge onwards. Please wish me Godspeed, d.
MySpace has been very good in providing us with the live broadcast and videos thereafter of your gig last month, as well as the premier of the album to come. It has been on heavy rotation here where I am. It's very moving overall and I can hardly wait to get the CD when it comes out.
Congratulations on being awarded the Honorary Master of Arts of the University of East London! The sentimental and special meaning behind the award must have made the honor even more satisfying. I'm sure this is just the beginning of many more accolades to follow. Well deserved, d. :)
Ennio Morricone will be at the Radio City Music Hall on the night The Good, The Bad & The Queen play at Parr Hall. It is fitting that you will both be in concert on the same night, albeit a few hours apart. May you offer a tip of your hat eastward at 1 AM your time when the curtain opens for him.
Best Wishes,
frances
