At long last June is upon us and so many are awaiting, with bated breath, blur's collective return to the live gig scene. What a joyous summer it promises to be. Your rehearsal footage is testament to the happiness you share with one another as you play your music together and that you will share with all of us who have awaited your return with quiet patience. Thank you again to each and every one of you for coming together again and experiencing the collaborative magic that is blur. The evolution you all continue to make is awe-inspiring.
I am flying by the seat of my pants, as usual, and have yet to make the flight reservations for the trip across the Pond. This time I hope to be there for the two Hyde Park gigs, the Lyon gig and in Manchester for "It Felt Like a Kiss." The sheer joy of planning out the itinerary and travelling luxuriously on the cheap has always been a pleasurable part of travelling in the UK and elsewhere for your events. Opulence has always been a state of mind for me. I am sure you understand, d. Look forward to reporting again from London, Lyon and Manchester next month. May you, Graham, Dave and Alex have a happy, healthy and safe June and July as you fly like the Phoenix.
