damon loves Iceland. He has a house there; he is one of the co-owners of Kaffibarinn (Reykjavik 551-1588); he dreamt about the black sands of Iceland before he ever even set foot there; and he is applying for dual citizenship (which is pretty easy, and he doesn't even have to give up his British citizenship!) He's part Scandinavian on his mother's side and living in Iceland and possessing Icelandic citizenship seems to be a "roots thing." What is it about Iceland that draws him to it so? Does it give him the anonymity that he seems to yearn for? Is the "being-in-touch" with nature dimension of it what makes Iceland so alluring to damon? Was he there in one of his previous lives and was it only a matter of time before he wandered back home?
