How damon's thirst for knowledge can lead to our edification...

First and second week of July 1999

"Well, I'm listening to a lot of Latin music at the moment and a bit of jazz and I got a great double CD called the "Lyricists' Lounge" which is really nice...spoken hip hop...yeah..and classical music because of the film (Ravenous)...getting into Charles Ives."

-damon (Blur.15on13)

He sure ain't listening to Ricky Martin, that's for sure, but all kidding aside, maybe he's listening to bossa nova, salsa, etc. damon's love of hip hop is pretty well known, what with his frequent visits to Hip Hop music clubs and his personal musical tastes as evidenced by his appreciation of Lauryn Hill most recently. Charles Ives is a quintessential American modern classical composer. damon probably listened to a lot of Ives because he composed many military anthems and that type of music was very much a part of the military's life in the Westward Expansion movement, during which the movie "Ravenous" was set. damon's tastes are eclectic, don't you reckon?
