My BSB Miracle!

This is a little story about my Backstreet Boys Into The Millennium Tour, miracle.

When the tickets went on sale, my friends and I decided to buy the tickets online. Little did we know that Ticket Master (I hate Ticket Master) closes down their site for major events. We tried and tried to get online but we couldn’t.

My parents were out getting coffee and unfortunately I couldn’t drive. (I still cant) By the time they finally got home it was fifteen minutes till the tickets went on sale. We rushed there but the line was too long, and we figured they would be sold out by the time we got to by the tickets. We were right you probably know that the whole US tour sold out in like an hour. (Not sure on exact time) The Portland show sold out in a half of an hour! (That was the show I was trying to get tickets for!) I was practically in tears when I knew that I wasn’t going to get to go. To make things worse, I had to call my friend who is just a s big as BSB fan as me (Hi Michelle) I felt totally responsible for her not being able to see them. She didn’t get to see there last tour either.

A long period of time went by, (like a few weeks or something) I was in total doubt that I was ever going to see The Backstreet Boys. Then my sister (Hi Kathie) told me that her mother’s friend owns box seats and gets tickets for everything! I asked Kathie to call her mom everyday to see if we got the tickets. Finally we got a response, no tickets!

A few days after I found out that I didn’t get tickets from that guy. My aunt (my aunt whom already had tickets, Hi Kim!) called and said that I might be able to get tickets from her friend. Her friend called Ticket Master to get her tickets, she asked for four tickets. When her recite came it said she bought eight tickets. I told Kim I could find four people to go if her friend actually got eight tickets. Kim asked her friend (FIRST!) and her friend said I could have the tickets. (Of coarse I would have to but them) So we waited, and her friend got the tickets, but gave them to somebody else! (Thanks a lot.) By that time there weren’t any chances that I would get to go see them. Of coarse there were radio stations, but I didn’t even bother to try to win. To tell you the truth I was losing all interest in the Backstreet Boys!

Then the night of the concert came. I was sitting on bed watching TRL and it was the number one song and of coarse it was the BSB. I was starting to feel sorry for myself. I was thinking to myself “If Tim (My cousin that was going with my aunt) really loved me, he would give me his ticket. Then the phone rang. It was my Uncle Dane. Here are our exact words, (almost)
Me: Hello Dane: Shawnee, your there? (Meaning at my dad’s house instead of my mom’s) Me: Yeah. Dane: Do you have any plans tonight? Me: No. Dane: Well do you want to go to a Backstreet Boys concert? Tim doesn’t feel well and I thought you might wanna go. Me: Yeah, I want to go. Dane: Can you be ready in about five minutes? Cause Kim wants to leave at about five thirty. Me: Yeah I’ll be ready. Dane: Okay then I am coming down, bye. Me: ‘K’ bye.

I was starting to get all excited, I called my mom and told her. Then I did a stupid thing; I called Michelle and told her. Before we had made a promise that if one of us got tickets that we wouldn’t tell each other, cause then we would both end up feeling really bad. Yup I called her, boy was she pissed. I made it up to her, I bought her a 25$ tour book and a 5$ button. (Only cause I am a good friend!)

I got to see the Backstreet Boys and it was great, and once again I am one of the biggest fans in this small town of Kelso!!!!!!!!
